REQUISITI PER LA PRENOTAZIONE
How can I book a boat or a RIB?
You can book online through our website www.divachartergenovagenova.it by filling out the form, by calling us, or by sending a WhatsApp message to +39 353 333 9225.
Booking and Payment?
A rental is considered “booked” or “confirmed” once the Lessee pays the full rental amount to DIVA through the available payment channels. The payment of the rental fee constitutes final confirmation of the booking.
Is a deposit required for the rental?
At the time of booking, an advance payment of 100% of the total rental cost is required.
Is there a minimum age to rent a boat?
To rent our boats without a license, a minimum age of 21 years is required.
Is a nautical license required for the rental?
For the rental of 40-horsepower boats, a valid ID is sufficient; no nautical license is required.
INSURANCE
Is the boat insured?
All our vessels carry third-party liability (RC) insurance. The lessee is required to pay a security deposit (deductible) of €200.
The insurance does not cover the personal belongings of the client or other persons on board. Furthermore, it does not cover damage caused by the lessee to the boat itself or any loss of equipment listed in the onboard inventory.
DURATION
What is meant by a rental day (pick-up and drop-off times)?
DIVA boats and RIBs are available to customers from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM, which is the final deadline for return without penalties.
For half-day rentals, the hours are as follows: 9:00 – 1:00 AM or 2:00 – 6:00 PM.
PEOPLE ON BOARD
How many people can come on board? Are children considered adults?
The website www.divachartergenovagenova.com
lists the specifications for all boat models available for rent, including the maximum passenger capacity.
BOAT DELIVERY
How does the boat delivery work?
The boat is delivered on the day and at the time established during the booking phase. Upon delivery, our staff will provide an overview of navigation rules and inspect the boat’s condition together with the client. Any existing defects and/or damage, as well as the fuel level at the time of delivery, will be noted on a delivery report.
Immediately afterward, a briefing will be held to explain how to operate the rented boat, its basic features, and onboard equipment, and to show a map of the navigation area. Once the briefing is complete, the vessel will be handed over to the client.
NAVIGATION
How should I behave during the rental? What are the navigation rules?
The client is responsible for the safe and correct use of the boat and its equipment. The client must follow the instructions and rules explained at the time of delivery.
The boat must be returned at the time and location previously agreed upon in the rental contract. We ask that you call us in case of difficulty or delay in returning the vessel. If, for reasons attributable to the Lessee or one of the passengers, the rental ends later than scheduled, DIVA reserves the right to charge a surcharge of €50.00 for every 30-minute fraction of delay. Payment of this surcharge must be made no later than the end of the rental period.
The Lessee shall be entitled to a proportional reduction of the rental fee in the event of early termination if this is due to circumstances attributable to DIVA and/or sudden severe bad weather which, in DIVA’s sole judgment, prevents the safe navigation of the vessel and its passengers. No reduction applies if the interruption of the rental is due to the choice of the Lessee or the passengers.
CONSUMPTION
What is the average fuel consumption of a boat?
The average consumption for 40-horsepower boats and RIBs is between 6–8 liters per hour, varying based on engine usage, carried weight, and weather conditions.
Is fuel included in the rental price?
Fuel is not included in the rental price. We deliver the boat with a full tank; upon return, DIVA staff will refuel the vessel, and the cost must be paid in cash.
CANCELLATION
Can I cancel my booking?
In the event of cancellation by the Lessee, the booking will be considered automatically terminated. A 100% refund of the rental amount is provided exclusively in the following cases:
If DIVA decides to cancel the booking—for example, if weather/sea conditions or regulations from competent authorities prevent the start of the rental—unless the Lessee chooses to reschedule the rental for a new date.
If the Lessee requests the cancellation of the booking at least 72 hours before the rental start time.
